I agree that it is not a good idea to debate whether or not we should use
shorter posts, thereby burning up more bandwidth and wasting time and money
doing it.

I am saying that some people pay by the message, or worse, pay long
distance charges to be on line. I want notes to be as concise as they can
be. Otherwise, people skim over them. It is tedious.

Private email is the best way to go for really long and involved
things..... We can " share some of the concerns and soul-searching issues "
in a manner that is respectful of others too, especially those whose
telephone bills are outrageous.

For those who are new, this is netiquette at its best. For those who are
not new, they realize that Kathy and I started this list to **help**
far-flung professionals to communicate. As listmother, I would really
prefer not to debate this subject, but to have you all know that it is
preferable to keep things concise, letting the full flavor of your
personality shine through in the paragraphs you do use.

Thanks! Kathleen
