Thank you Winnie, for these pertinent and kind comments. Thanks to everyone
who has stuck with discussions that are challenging, Dr. Karp included. He
is not alone in that he has had to discuss and explain his
thoughts....publically, ...

I think that when people write books, or speak publically, or are working
in a field, they are prepared to discuss and defend and debate the ideas
that they put out there. That does not have to be personal or
attacking...just debate. Without personal intent.

However, as I said this morning earlier, I do think that as a group, our
focus is on supporting each other as professionals...and sometimes it is
disappointing to me to see a zillion responses to debate the merits of X,
Y, or Z, when posts from professionals needing advice and help are
sometimes left to languish.

Our focus is to support and to be supported here, and not to debate the
merits of one book or another to death. We are all now aware of this
book, which, like all books, has some truth and some points to dispute. At
least that part was successful for Dr. Karp, if he had to endure some
unwarranted negativity. That might have counted as PR with a price, but it
was PR all the same...and I am sure that Dr. Karp is happy to discuss his
thoughts, as are all good professionals. It's all part of the work.

Thanks to all....and ...back to work.

Thanks again Winnie.
