Helen, interesting question you have there, ........I think I (we) do just
such official informing, at least weekly in, for example, Bf moms group,
.....having not used the word "muddling", which is a good one tho,

....the words that come to mind that I use are "adjust", "reprioritize", when
encouraging moms that entertaining guest, the usual cooking, and extreme
cleaning are no longer the priority (don't do those things, at least right
now and for a number of weeks, and talk yourself out of feeling guilty about
it until you have convinced yourself), ..........Bf is a priority, which
automatically includes mothering & nurturing, recuperating form L&D is a
priority, which includes rest, .....

I guess I would want to encourage a new mom to "yes, muddle along the best
you can, but let me help you make Bf a priority and successful"
