Well, this is an anecdotal report of n=2, but I played a lot of soccer
when mine were babies. With the first one, I would nurse and then head
out to play. Dh would wander down with the baby when she was starting to
get hungry and I would come off for 10 minutes (totally sweaty after
playing for an hour) and she would nurse. Never rejected the breast.
Ditto for baby # 2 except I was in league play and would have to sub off
to nurse.

I've read a few articles about women on the US soccer team nursing their
babies and if these aren't top athletes I don't know who is.
