found on kellymom  and some other google results seem to indicate that the
vast majority of Japanese babies are at least partially breastfed, but
exclusive breastfeeding is relatively rare.  I feel glad for the moms who
can step up their lactation, anxious for those who have abandoned it, and
mindful of the Chinese hero we heard about who combined wetnursing with her
civil service duties after a quake there.
