It changed my thinking when Catherine Watson Genna pointed out, years ago,
that the frenulum is a supporting blade that runs front to back through the
whole tongue.  Seems to me we're *lucky* if there's a snippable leading
edge.  What if that whole blade is just. short?  Not short front to back,
but top to bottom?  It seems to me it would cause a high palate, and I don't
see why it wouldn't be just as common as any other frenulum shape.
