Another thought on this thread:
It is easy sometimes to say (or at least think) "I certainly
wouldn't do what she's doing!"
Remember, no matter how similar another's circumstances may seem to
our own, we have never been THAT person in THAT particular situation
at THAT particular time of life and with THAT particular combination
of factors impacting our choices.  We may not be able to conceive of
ourselves making certain choices, but we never can know what we
might do given exactly the same factors as someone else is facing.
