SUBJECT: lactation coordinator/jobdescr/compens.

PRIORITY:

Hi--we're brainstorming here about creating a lactation services/advocacy etc
coordinator position (dreams, but who knows). Part of the duties would
involve actual home visits to troubleshoot lactation problems, and also
staffing advocacy/network type local meetings, setting up trainings,
inservices, etc, perhaps being the cyberspace "librarian" (since it takes a
lot of TIME to keep up with the various listservs, etc) We are looking at
half to 2/3 time, at this point, probably grant/contract funded (no
bennies--urk) and who knows how soon.

Pleas email me privately if you have similar positions in your
county/city/region--I need a job description, qualifications statement, and
some notion of job class/hourly wage. At this point we guess the CLE or
IBCLC eligible (took class, not finished with all homework/clinical time or
whatever) is the primary consideration and whether person is RD, RN or other
health specialty is important but less absolute...

If you are willing to share proposals/grant applications you have used that
would be fabulous--snailmail is
