Missouri rec'd a grant to expand our WIC Peer Counselor program.
I felt it would benefit moms most if we (PCs) could see new moms
within 24 hrs-1 week following delivery, either in the hospital or their
homes.

We were told we couldn't see moms outside of the WIC Centers
because as "under contract" volunteers, we aren't covered by
Liability Insurance like the nurses the health dept. sends out.
