The old Lindane preparations have now been largely displaced by the much safer
and less residual Nix preparation that is available over the counter at most
drug stores.  Lindane is an old, very lipid soluble, insecticide.  It is very
residual and is no longer even used to spray our homes due to its toxicity and
long-term residual effect.  Suggest Nix.
