With all due respect... 



                a) is 18 participants enough for significance?

                                          

                                        and



                b) these mother's were bf without a problem and an impediment was introduce and they had a reduction in milk transfer... 



   .... I believe that it is very different when we are working with a mother and breastfeeding is not going well, for one of many reason we use a shield and things improve... 



        those of us who do pre and post weights have seen that this intervention, used appropriately, can actually increase milk transfer.
