Lisa Bell asked for info on bf and birth control. I sent her the following
reply:

Lisa,
This might be relevant to your colleague's needs.

Some time in the last year, Amy Spangler did a distance-learning
presentation on breastfeeding and family planning that was shown through
some branch of the public health system. I trekked up to a downlink site to
see it...and I was the only person there! Anyway, it was a two-hour
presentation aimed at public health nurses. There was a lot of info about
breastfeeding in the first hour, which your colleague probably already
knows, and then info on LAM and on the bf-compatibility of various birth
control methods in the second hour. If your colleague needs to do staff
education or outreach to OB services in her area, the video of this program
might be a useful tool or at least could give her ideas.

Lactnetters, you can email me if you need Amy's email address.
Chris
