BUT - when comparing breast pumps, isn't the evidence-based standard to
compare degree of breast drainage obtained by the pump - using the
methods Ramsey/Hartmann et al developed? A mother's perception of
appearance or even comfort are not accurate indicators of what makes a
pump best. And we all know that it is frequency of drainage compared to
breast storage capacity that affects overall volumes. I think
breastfeeding laboratories after the model of the Australian group,
conducted by Consumer Reports type folks would be the ideal! Otherwise,
all the comments and evidence given is just anecdotal and personal
preference, not reality or evidence based!

It is a manual/battery version of the Whittlestone - which relies
heavily on compression. Might want to check on vacuum levels.

Does anyone know if Dr. Brown's single breastpump is any good. This mom
bought one and is planning on returning to work at 12 weeks. Karen
