Heather writes about a special case in point, which also happens to be her
daughter.  First, let the listmother in me say I think it is an entirely
appropriate post.
Next, it sounds as though the professionals you mention are almost bothered
by your using donor milk.  I am trying to figure out why.  Even if they
refuse to acknowledge the benefits, surely they cannot mean that it is
harmful?  Are they concerned because our don't have a label we can paste on
them after 6 months saying 'follow-on milk now on tap' ??
Mothers who tandem nurse toddlers and infants seem to nourish both children
well, even if they switch breasts.  Where is the evidence that donor milk
from mothers of children of any age, is inappropriate for a toddler?  How do
they even know how old the donors' children are?
