Hi All,

I have a mom & dad of twins who actually got these! They are – um –
interesting to say the least. :-) The babies were born at 27 wks gest and
are now 4 ˝ mo old (6wks corrected). Since there are 2 of them mom can’t
hold them 24/7 and dad has to work so is not there all the time to help out.
Baby girl needs to have something touching her at all times when she is out
of moms arms in order to stay calm. For them, these things really work. It
keeps baby girl more settled while mom takes care of her baby boy – and
allows mom to not stress so much that baby girl is crying and upset. She
had tried blankets, etc – but they weren’t heavy enough – not enough
pressure – for the baby. The hands work well for her. Just to let you know
– family has a lot of help and he babies are held A LOT! (especially when
Aunti Jaye is there! We have become good friends…) These hands are not
used all the time. Babies get tons of skin to skin time… But they have
come in handy for those times that baby needs something and mom (nor anyone
else) is available. Did you notice they come in a left hand and a right
hand??

Warmly,

Jaye

PS These parents became very well known at the NICU their babies stayed at
because the were the ONLY parents who were there every single day, doing
skin to skin at least 10+ hours per day per baby – mom pumped and has this
incredible milk supply – 2 freezers FULL of frozen breastmilk – she is going
to donate a lot of it to another mom whose baby cannot tolerate ABM well
(mom is unable to produce more than 8 oz of her own per day). Really
amazing people!
