Miss Grammar here. The way the sentence is written pregnancy breastfeeding
and birth-control are all examples of things that give you prolonged
exoposure to estrogen.

~~ Judy here: This is the problem, they may be intending to say "prolonged
exposure" without the break that you GET during pregnancy and breast-feeding,
where the parenthetical sentence fragment refers to the break that one gets
instead of how it might easily be read as the sentence fragment describing
situations where those breaks do not occur. They are probably more willing to
reword it based on telling them the writing is confusing for readers rather
than writing and telling them they are wrong, since honestly it could go
either way for me. The issue is whether the parenthetical piece refers to the
word "break" ( which would be correct about Pg and BF) or refers to the phrase
"without a break" ( which would make it misleading and erroneous)...:)
How's that for parenthetical overuse?

Peace,
Judy
