I love hearing all these stories about frenotomies. I am so blessed to be
where I am in NYC so close to Dr Betty Coryllos. I have "assisted" in at
least 8 or more procedures in the last year or so. I have heard all those horror
stories of doctors not wanting moms to go ahead with it.

I am dealing with my neighbors 2 yr old this is a type 2 simple and since
her two brothers were clipped 6 mths ago - she has missed every appt due to an
ear infection or cold. The twin boys were 4 1/2 - no breast feeding problems
at all and nursed over a year - she nursed over 18 mths. Mom is frustrated
due to the doctors not wanting to do the procedure due to her health -
because she would be under general. The speech problems with the 5 yr old twins is
horrendous even with speech therapy, I believe that we could hold down this
2 yr old, Dr Coryllos doesnt use general. We will see what happens next
week.

If anyone is interested there will be a great conference in Sept in Long
Island New York with Dr Coryllos and Catherine Watson Genna - both pioneers in
the frenulum issue. You can contact Kathy Mirra @ [log in to unmask] for
more information.

I am so happy that we are all learning to look for this problem - so many
babies and moms will be helped.

Regards,
