Thanks for pointing out your observations about Sesame Street. I hardly ever
see it, as my children (7, 5, & 4) really don't watch it much at home. I have
very fond memories of Sesame Street, though; I was about 5 when it came along,
and watched faithfully for quite a few years (30-some years ago)! I think it's
a great show and is (usually) a wonderful example of producers going to great
lengths to educate children in realistic terms and situations that they are able
to relate to.

I'm very disheartened to learn that Sesame Street is apparently giving a
lop-sided view of infant/human nutrition. With such a great audience and
influence on children, any subtle messages they're putting out can be quite
significant.

I really don't have advice or experience to share, but I'm wholeheartedly in
support of your efforts to educate the producers ... my optimistic side hopes
it's just a matter of not having a clue what kind of message the overwhelming
presence of bottles is sending (and of course, maybe a few inhibitions about
showing anything "else" on children's television). I just assumed they would
have already given this some thought. (But there I go assuming, and I really
shouldn't do that.)
