Evelyn,

You said that your 1st attempts at becoming a Baby Friendly Hospital and
starting up a hospital BFing Committee crashed and burned due to not having
a ''decision making authority''. You also suggested to look at and identify
barrier's.

Our hospital also tried go Baby Friendly in the past, things were started
and then forgotten. Now we are trying again. I think our primary problem is
a high turn over of staff. Also, we have many cultures Air Force, Army,
Civilian, Red Cross volunteers and sometimes Navy. We are so diverse that it
might actually be harder to pull together.

Any suggestions on keeping things established and cultural diversity?

Patricia
