Interesting.  We have high nitrites in our water - I keep aquariums and
our water tests high (on the aquarium test strip) straight out of the
tap.  (We have a well.)  Of course I am still nursing both my 12 month
old and my 3 year old so we didn't need to be concerned about the water
when they were really little. 

I have no idea how the aquarium test strips would compare to a water
test run by the state, though.
