On several occasions I have seen this temporary suppression of supply
associated with return of menses. Ask her if she is seeing other signs
that her flow is about to return. As you know, this can be associated
with return to work if it means longer times between breast stim.

Some women seem to have a temporary decrease in supply around their
cycles. I encourage them to keep up with the stimulation and to
supplement a bit if necessary...and reassure them that the supply will
bounce back after the period. If they don't get this kind of advice,
they often think they can't make enough milk and give up.

Good Luck...and let me know if this is the case with this mom.
