importance of breastfeeding undoes our promotion efforts. The public wants strong 
messages to know what to do, as with car seats and smoking."

Years ago, one of the formula companies put out a bfing video that also had a segment on seatbelts.  The bfing part played sweet lullaby music, had gentle, pastel, soft-focus images and a soft female voice.  Ho hum.  No one could possibly have been offended, and of course they didn't *want* anyone to be persuaded! 

The seatbelt part had, as I recall, a man's voice (didn't think about the significance of that until just now!).  People were shown doing it wrong, followed by the international symbol (red circle and line) for DON'T, then information and addressing their particular reasons for not wearing one, and then footage of the same people doing it right.  There was loud, vigorous, "come join us" type music, and by the end we could have been dancing in the streets, wanting to get on the seatbelt band wagon.
