I would want to know: how was the early bf? early initiation, wt loss/gain, 
jaundice, milk surge during first week, wt gain patterns. what i would be 
getting at is effective vs ineffective feeding that gradually down-regulated 
supply. also stongue-tie etc.
if that's all ok, then i would want to know about bf patterns, intro of 
other foods, liquids, feedings thru the night, co-sleeping and the like. i 
also ask about meds, and medical problems like thyroid or hormonal 
aberrations ike PCOS. cold and/or sinus meds, antihistamines, and birth 
control products which can cause supply drops. also type and amt of pumping 
she did, times away from baby, pacifier use.
lots of detective work. quite a few of these cases have taken a depo provera 
birth control shot. or return to work at 6 wks messes things up.
