Hi Virginia

I have dentists doing tongue tie divisions here at Westmead, they do about
13 young babies a month. It took me time but once they came on board, they
now will bring the mother and baby in asap for the division as they know the
benefits of breastfeeding to oral development.

Hi Gwen

That is certainly an advance in this part of the world. You have done well,
enlisting them in treating the babies. My own dentist, when I chatted about
tongue tie some time ago, seemed to think the idea of dentists doing
divisions very strange. However, recently I have become aware of paediatric
dentists in Brisbane doing plastic surgery on thick labial frenum, though
they prefer to wait.

Thank you for providing a precedent. In time, the idea will spread.

Virginia.
