A client brought back a book today and told me she's still nursing her
19-month old who was diagnosed with neuroblastoma (cancer) several months
ago. She is 4 months into a new and planned pregnancy. All of the doctors
involved are supporting her continuing to BF! (repeat - all of them, even the
OB) The 4 oncologists are especially encouraging, saying the reason her son
is doing so well in a very grave situation is that he's still getting
breastmilk. In fact, for a while he couldn't keep down anything else and they
were thrilled she was still BF. And just to make things more interesting,
she is diabetic.

Linda Smith, amazed at this wonderful progress - perhaps the tide IS
turning??
