vicki hayes rn ibclc in brunswick ga, who obviously just returned from a
Diane Wiessinger presentation :-)

**Gosh, Vicky, why didn't you wrap her up and send her over here?! hahaha
Yesterday evening, I returned from a conference in Leeds, England (on Friday
and Saturday), organised by the British lc's. It was *so* wonderful. Apart
from Suzanne Colson, Brian Palmer, Kathleen Kendall-Tackett and Kerstin
Moberg (yo, folks, BUY HER BOOK, The Oxytocine Factor!), the sparkling
'Gribble-woman' spoke ;o) (Do have serious words with her, Morgan, over tea!
hahaha)
The whole combination of all of them was so inspiring. Karleen and I did not
leave until yesterday afternoon and after two days inside, took a bus ride
to a little town somewhat north of Leeds/Headingley and walked through the
Ilkley Moors. Karleen was supposed to fly from terminal 5 at Heathrow,
London, where huge problems arose a few days ago, so I hope she made it to
Norway, where she will meet up with Rachel Myr (have a good time together,
both of you!). I found it a shere miracle once more, to attend a conference
where people from all directions and origins meet to discuss the same topic.
Thanks again, Karleen, for the great oneliner you gave me during the
fabulous talk Kerstin held: "States become traits." My... what an impact a
good start has on the dyad...
One of the British collegues told me that last year, LCGB organised a really
good conference, too, with (a.o.) Thom Hale and Diane (who was described as
very bright and very inspiring by the English lc).
So, Diane, don't you think someone could squeeze you in in Vienna or in Ede,
the Netherlands, in October? And how about the Lactnet-meeting in Vienna...
how could we set something up? Maybe you could spoil us there and get the
oxytocin surges up to Guiness Book of Records-levels...?! ;-))

Warmly,

Marianne Vanderveen, Netherlands
