I am indeed passionate about breastfeeding, infant attachment, infant brain
development and so on. But in my case I see it entirely as self interest.
I am getting older, I want to retire. The better the shape the upcoming
workers are, the better off I will be.
I care for my own children, they will also want to retire, do other things
with their lives. So they also need a highly competent upcoming workforce.
With what we know about infant brain development and attachment, it is clear
that breastfeeding is indeed imperative.
I don't think there is another single thing I can do with my time that will
have as long term effect as breastfeeding promotion and support.
