Over and above the various Psych theories, it is important to
remember that these "experts" are seeing primarily people who do not
function "normally".  It is a mistake to take a behavior seen in a
person with problems and assume that the same behavior in a "normal"
person will lead to problems.  Let's face it, there are some people
who may use co-sleeping and even breastfeeding for less than
positive reasons.  An "expert" may see a pervert who has a child in
the bed for lewd purposes and then extrapolate that it is having the
child there that causes or is part of the problem, therefore noone
should ever have a child in bed with them.  That is as far fetched
as saying that because a pervert may like pizza, for example, that
liking pizza is a sign or even cause, of perversion!  (Puts a whole
new twist on being "crazy about pizza" doesn't it?)
