Someone mentioned that domperidone costs as much as formula for an infant.
It depends on where one gets it. From New Zealand, without prescription and
taking 8 tabs a day, it comes to about #1.00 a day. Formula, costs much
more than that.

Even with the Canadian pharmacy's cost, it is still less than formula.

What are U.S. compounding pharmacies charging?

Also, with a few exceptions, my clients do not have to continue at the 8
tabs a day dosage. The adoptive mothers do have to continue at this rate,
but others are able to eliminate it altogether after their supplies are
adequate or drop to 4-5 a day, depending on what the basic problem is.

I suspect that the cost issue is similar to the cost issue in hiring a LC
to resolve breastfeeding problems. It is not too expensive if one wants the
outcome to be a breastfeeding baby.
