In an effort to attend an all-day conference with Dr. Hale last week in
Salinas, California, did the following:

Boarded dogs at the kennel (very traumatic for all involved!)
Drove 4 hours to Salinas
Found motel where reservation made
Didn't sleep much - different bed, fear of oversleeping, etc
Up bright and early to find conference site
First one there to check in
Dr. Hale still in Dallas with closed airport -  AAAARRRRGGGHHH!
Had breakfast at IHOP
Drove 3 hours home
Rescued dogs
Waiting for refund!
