I have just re-read an article about Obstetric Cholestasis which is a liver
disease which shows up in pregnancy. The article summarises with <Generalised
itching of the skin with no rash can sometimes be the only symptom of OC.
Liver function tests are needed to confirm the diagnosis. OC can lead to
stillbirth, premature delivery and postpartum haemorrhage. Early delivery is
thought to be vital - no later than 38 weeks - to ensure a safe delivery.>

Can you have Cholestasis, with itching being a sign of the condition other
than in pregnancy?
