Need general anesthesia???  Gimme a break!  My ENT friend down the hall
does frenulectomies in the office using topical lidocaine jelly applied
with a Q-tip! (No "pre-op fasting time", either.)  And, he encourages mom
to nurse baby immediately afterward. "So she can see how much it really
helps the nipple soreness."
