Does anyone know anything about the history of weaning rituals? They
are montioned a couple of times in the Bible (i.e. Sarah had a party when Isaac
weaned, Hannah brought her son Samuel into God's service at the Temple after
he was weaned) and I have seen several beautiful contemporary weaning
rituals. Does anyone have any sources on weaning rituals between Sarah
and Hannah and contemporary times.
