I have seen newborns with what I consider to be inverted nipples.  One of
these infants, the daughter of a friend, is now 11 years old and does
indeed have an inverted nipple.  I never thought to track any
others.....interesting thought.

I thought these were basically glitches in fetal development....and would
be most interested to hear more expert information!
