This isn't an answer to your question, but rinsing fruits and veggies
with vinegar will remove any pesticide residue from the skin.  Health
food stores sell a spray that does the same, but I am sure vinegar is
cheaper.  Mixture of two to three tablespoons of vinegar per one quart of
water.  (Sorry this isn't in metric, but 1 quart is equal to 2.2 Liters).
