The focus would be on determining what the newborn was exposed to as an
embryo and then as a fetus. I do not know of a safe, noninvasive way to
determine such information during the embryonic or fetal periods of
development.>>

I suggested

Cord blood????
Meaning, of course, that you could determine the level of toxins (perhaps)
immediately after the baby was born which would give you the fetal levels -- and
then compare to levels in the baby after the baby has been either exclusively
breastfed or exclusively formula fed for -- say -- three months.

After I re-read my non-sensical answer to the post (coffee is a wonderful
waker upper) I realized it's a bit tough to get cord blood from an embryo!
