Sorry Cindy this is clinical results, not research based.  I don't think
anyone has monitored mom's liver functions.  Phizer would be the ones to
go to     for answers.  However diflucan is used long-term in people with
immun suppression/yeast problems, so Phizer ought to be able to give you
some data. Also diflucan has been used in premies and liver function  was
observed as far as I know. From these two situations I think we
extrapolated that it would be OK for healthy moms and/or newborns.
