While I was in Québec, a 'new' poster came out that I really liked with size
comparaisons of newborns' stomachs on day 1, 2, 3 etc. as well as poop/pee
output that should be seen.  They actually copied it from Ontario (with
permission, as is stated at the bottom of the file) but you can view what we
were given as BF volunteers in Québec in this PDF file:

It probably is not so useful in a "references" type of way for the original
question as to how to persuede a doctor that a newborn stomach really IS
small, but I think it is a very interesting chart and useful tool
nonetheless.
