I would have a problem with the statements suggesting that no one should breastfeed if she takes any drugs or herbs that her doctor has not approved, but there is one big overall problem with this.  Like many other sources, it is written with the underlying assumption that formula is equal to breast milk, as if the question was whether it was safer for a nursing mother to take meds, herbs or alcohol, or not to take those things.  

The true question should be whether those substances would render the milk to be less beneficial and/or more potentially harmful than formula.  Of course, in most cases, the answer to that is "no".
