Greetings,

Barbara, I am very interested in your daughter's case of increased milk
production in her second pregnancy/lactation experience after progesterone
and galactagogues. Does she have IGT/hypoplasia as well as PCOS? I know
the two are often found hand in hand but I've worked with moms with
hypoplasia who did not seem to have symptoms demonstrative of PCOS (which I
understand is a multi-faceted syndrome and different in every woman
affected) as well as moms with PCOS who had plenty of glandular tissue.

Thanks so much, and many thanks to your daughter for allowing you to share
about her experience. There is so little out there on this topic and these
mothers, in many cases, would do absolutely anything to increase their milk
production and enhance or even just have a breastfeeding experience. There
is an increase in the amount of information available on the internet, but
I'm eager to hear more!

Thanks,
Diana Cassar-Uhl, IBCLC + LLLL in upstate NY
