Let me get this straight. The nurses were too busy to help C/S moms with
baby care? I thought hospitals were for people who were too sick or injured
to take care of themselves! How can a "health care facility" get away with
this?!

I'm certainly not blaming the nurses. (Although there are a few....) The
vast majority of nurses, especially maternity and pediatric nurses that I've
had the privilege of meeting, teaching, or working with over the years are
WONDERFUL, caring, smart, creative and talented professionals and
individuals. They work in a "system" that does not adequate acknowledge (nor
pay) them for what they are worth.

In my humble opinion, this is a terribly broken "system" if the nurses
really don't have time to do their jobs - and that includes assisting
breastfeeding mothers and babies!
