I was at a meeting last evening where I was informed that the Ohio Department of
Health has come out with a new regulation that for any HepB positive, or unknown
status mom the baby may not breastfeed until after the vaccine and immunoglobin
(Hbig) are administered.

What is the logic here? Isn't it good enough to give the shots after the first
feed?

If anyone out there has info. on this I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Susan
