Hi All

I have permission from mum to post.

I have been looking after a women who has had a breast reduction
in 1998. Her areola and nipples were threaded up under the excision and then sewn in place - the surgeon said her nerves were left intact. She is now 48 hrs postpartum.
Baby is being put to the breast to feed then topped up with Infant Formula. by cup approx 20mls each time then mum using the electric pump 10 mins each side. just a few drops of colostrum seen at the last pumping but She did managed to hand express 0.3ml after pumping I suggested that she starts to use a lactaid to give top-ups instead of the cup

Has anyone had experience with women who have had surgery.
She is now wanting to use a galactogue. She has blessed thistle and fenugreek but hasnt started taking them yet. could domperdone be started or is it to early?
Thankyou in advance for your help.

Sincerely
June Nicholls
