Dear Lactnet friends,

I'm days behind on reading Lactnet, so perhaps my answers ar old stuff. Still wanted to add my thoughts.

In my experience these slow growers, who do otherwise fine often are allergic in ''design'' and using lots of energy for fighting this. I've seen some amazing results where moms cut out all cow milk and soy, cow milk and soy products and cow milk and soy traces.

Threads coming out of the breast (like dental floss or rice noodles) is a phenomena linked to mastitis. I've seen this in my goats and sheep (back when I had those) as well

Warmly,

Gonneke, IBCLC in PP, LC lecturer in southern Ntherlands, of to college to teach upcoming LCs about systematic and documented breastfeeding counseling.
