Debi,
There have been many cases of women being hassled at Disneyland for
breastfeeding (I and others have been told in no uncertain terms that we
must go to their babycare centers--which *are* quite nice, but
still--because nursing in public is not appropriate at Disneyland).
Disneyland has been intolerant of many many activities on their property, as
has been reported here on LactNet, and elsewhere. I was told I couldn't
take my retarded 6 year old son into the women's restroom, for example, that
he was "old enough" to go into the men's room by himself. By the time I
finished with that particular park employee, he was speechless and bright
red (I am not known for being tactful, and was quite explicit about the
dangers for any 6 year old boy of going into a men's bathroom by himself, as
well as teaching the guy a few things about mental retardation). If you
don't look and behave within extremely narrow guidelines at Disney, you risk
being told to shape up.

I am certain that Disney is *very aware* of Nestle's complicity in pushing
infant formula in Third World countries, and of violating the code, and they
just don't care one whit. They sent me a "form letter" reply to my
objecting to their partnership with Nestle's concerning promoting Lion King
-- their letter was one of those "Thank you for writing us" letters that
gave no indication at all that they had read my letter. I'm sure I'm not
the only one who has pointed out to them that Nestle's violates the code,
*and* that lions do not use baby bottles to feed their cubs.
