I have a mom who needs to supplement. Was told to nurse one side for 10-15 min, then nurse on other breast x10-15 min, then switch back to first breast and use SNS ( 5fr feed tube with 20 cc syringe) to supplement.
My thought is that she could save time and maybe keep babe interested at breast if  SNS was used from the onset of feeding. Mom was concerned baby would get satisfied too quickly and not go to second breast. 
Thoughts?
