here are some links I hope you will find interesting and informative. I
have never dealt with this problem personally or professionally in a
breastfeeding related way. my oldest child breastfed 2 weeks, at that point
she was severely dehydrated and jaundiced (another story about lack of
support and incorrect information) but as she progressed from bottle to cup,
I used a sippy cup and she drank lots of juice. she ended up having 4
cavities right where a sippy cup hits. so we had to deal with caries at 2
1/2. needless to say I have done things very differently with my 2nd child
who nurses a couple of times a week at 4 1/2 y.o. so I guess that can
explain some of my interest in dental caries in toddler/preschoolers. btw
my 2nd child has no cavities.
