Several points:
""When I returned to work (approximately 3 weeks ago) I
contacted the doctor stating that I would not be able to nurse and/or pump 8
times a day and my birth control pills were to changed to Apri. There was no
limit on the nursing and/or pumping."" and she also states she was pumping
every 2-3 hrs but can now go 4-6hrs.

It seems this mother might need more info on what it usually takes to
maintain a good milk supply while undergoing regular separations from her
baby. Yes she should bf or pump at least 8 x per day and make sure it is
with a very good hospital grade pump, double pumping, and that the flange
fits her. Recommend that she do post feed pumping when she can, and bf alot
alot when she is with her baby. No pacifiers, alternate feeds, etc. The baby
also takes a very long sleep stretch 8p to 5a. She could pump during that
time (I see she does at 10pm) or wake the baby for a feeding. She could
co-sleep and probably would get more feedings in. Suggest she consider
non-hormonal methods, but that *may not* be the reason for her decreased
supply.
