Dear Katharine, I also tell NICU moms to pump in the same way you do. (Pump
freq. 8x-day, sleep-night) I tell them it is a balance between producing
milk and getting enough rest, considering the extraordinary stress they are
undergoing. If they wake at night, overfull, then pump, otherwise sleep.
I also agree that an US to check for placental fragment(s) is in order.
With 3 babies being delivered I would suppose that the chance of a fragment
is raised x 3 ! Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
