Trish,
I understand the desire by those around you to reassure you that you have
done so very much for him already--you have! But, I also understand that you
know the pure joy of a baby (or toddler) at the breast. I trust that you will
know when you are done, whether that means that he is at the breast or not.
I know I have already written this to you privately, but I will make this
suggestion again. The PT I told you about (you can email me privately if you
lost the info) is not like other PT's or OT's or speech therapists or CST's
or chiropractors. He works very hard to help the patient release traumas held
in the body and is extremely successful. He also works extensively with
children. The other people I would contact are Ray Castellino and William
Emerson. Both work with healing early traumas and I have talked with the
folks at both centers--they work extensively with children (were currently
working w/ a bf baby when I called Emerson's) and they gave me the name of
someone locally to us--if you call them, I'm sure they will give it to you. I
have actually wanted to train with him for the past couple of years, but
haven't worked it out yet. Also, you can always try Network Chiropractic,
since it involves very little of the touching needed for CST, is extremely
gentle, works on the nervous system, rather than directly manipulating the
spine. Your little guy is so very lucky you are his mamma!
